18 Members from the Koryo Taekwondo Center and 2 Members from the Banyule Tiger’s team up to compete in the 2014 Taekwondo New Zealand Open in Auckland.
The team competed in both Technical and Sparring events winning some 59 Medals and Trophies plus The Outstanding Technical Team Trophy.
It was a great experience for a number of the team as it was their first time they had competed in a international event.
The success of the team was not only due to their preparation, but also the support from their coaches and their families.
Also we would like to thank the Queensland Taekwondo Team under the leadership of Kate Eggar and Taekwondo New Zealand for allowing 3 Queenslanders and one New Zealander Team members to help us make up 3 Teams and 1 Pair.
Our Adidas Team Tracksuit with both Red and Pink Dragons (For the Girls) prove to be very popular as a number of our competitors were taking photos of our tracksuits and asking were we purchased them.
Our Team would like to thank T.V.I for their generous financial assistance towards our Team Wear which was supplied by Jols in Melbourne.
