Individual Athlete Scholarship Program

Wednesday, March 21st, 2012

Copy of a letter addressed to Mr David Burns.
Dear David, As has been our policy in recent years, we have placed an advertisement (copy attached) in the Melbourne press on 10th March, calling for applications in the Individual Athlete Scholarship Program (including the Athletes with a Disability Program). This provides athletes whose sports’ do not have Tier 1 Program (Major) status at the Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS) with opportunities for support. There may be some high performance athletes in your sport who are not aware of the opportunity to make an application for scholarship in 2012-2013, therefore I have enclosed a copy of the application form. If you require further information, please contact the VIS on Tel: (03) 9425 0061 Fax: (03) 9425 0100, Email:or download a copy from our homepage: http://www.vis.org.au or feel free to make duplicate copies yourself. The deadline for receipt of such applications will be Friday 20th April 2012. We cannot accept any late or incomplete applications. We would also appreciate if your organisation could provide a preferred email address as soon as possible. We will be able to email directly the list of athletes attached to your sport who have submitted an application for scholarship. This will ensure a more streamlined approach to the verification and ranking process. Should you require any further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact Nerissa Byrne, or myself. Regards, Paul Kiteley

Congratulations to all the other Australians who competed at the this competition as from what I saw they were great.
We would like to thank Tournament Director Mr Gary Carpenter, TNZ Executive and General members for the way they welcomed and supported us at their competition.
Whilst we were at the competition we met Grand Master Jeong Ki Young who is a 9th Dan member of the WTF Referee Education.
Grand Master Jeong Ki Young was kind enough to advise me on a number of up dates to Poomsae.
These up dates will be posted on our website later this week.
