Australian Selections.

Monday, October 1st, 2018

The Koryo Taekwondo Centre would like to congratulate the competitors who scored 7.5 and above at the Australian Selections which gained them a place on the Australian Taekwondo Poomsae Team.
I understand the disappoint the other competitors who won their divisions but unfortunately did not achieve a score of 7.5 or above must be feeling as they had their hearts set on representing Australia at this years World Poomsae Championships.
I was part of the Australian Team who competed in Russia at World Poomsae Championships and I finished in 6th place.
However, the experience and knowledge I gain made me realise I had to train harder and develope my overall knowledge of Poomsae. I was then lucky enough to represent Australia at the World Poomsae in Mexico were I gained a Bronze Medal.

Our Koryo Team had a great weekend in Bendigo.
Our Team picked up 16 Gold, 16 Silver and 18 Bronze in both Sparring and Poomsae. As a number of our team members competed in both Sparring and Poomsae it was certainly a great result. Special thank you to our 3 Female Coaches, Joyce, Rebecca and Caroline who also competed on the weekend.
We also received great support from our Koyro Families along with the way our students support one another made it a special weekend.
A great photo of some of our our Koryo Team.
More photos to come.
